We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or sensitive personal data.

Third-party services
ErasePlastic may use the following third-party services which may process your data on our behalf:
- Email service provider (e.g. Mailchimp or ConvertKit) — to manage newsletter subscriptions. Their privacy policies govern how they handle your email address.
- Amazon Associates — when you click an affiliate link, Amazon may place cookies on your device. See Amazon's Privacy Notice for details.

✓ Right to Erasure
Request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

Affiliate Disclosure
Amazon Associates
ErasePlastic is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. When you click a product link on this site and make a qualifying purchase on Amazon, we may earn a small commission.
The commission comes from Amazon, not from you — the price you pay is exactly the same whether or not you use our link.
How affiliate links are identified
- Product links on our Shop, Browse Swaps, and article pages typically lead to Amazon and are affiliate links.
- Where relevant, individual pages carry the notice: "This page contains affiliate links."
- This standalone disclosure page covers all affiliate links across the site.
Our editorial independence
Affiliate commissions do not influence our recommendations. We do not accept payment to feature specific products, and we do not rank products by commission rate. Products are evaluated based on materials, certifications, and published scientific data — as explained on our About page.
If a product does not genuinely reduce microplastic exposure based on the available evidence, it does not appear on this site, regardless of its affiliate terms.
Other affiliate programmes
If in the future ErasePlastic participates in affiliate programmes beyond Amazon Associates, this disclosure will be updated to reflect that. The same editorial independence principles apply to all affiliate relationships.
Applicable regulations
- FTC (USA) — 16 CFR Part 255: Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.
- EU Directive 2005/29/EC — Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, requiring clear identification of commercial content.
- CAP Code (UK) — Committee of Advertising Practice rules on clearly labelling affiliate content.
- Swedish Marketing Act (Marknadsföringslagen) — requiring transparency in commercial communications.
